Over the last few weeks, I have been testing out the Bakers campaign box that included wet and dry dog food with a packet of treats for my dog Tia. I wanted to see how this has affected my dogs daily life and to see if she enjoyed the food. Over the weeks we have tried a good mixture of the wet and dry food, whilst mixing the flavours to give my dog the best variety. Whilst testing the food with my dog it was clear to see that she was excited about trying the food and really enjoyed a good sniff at all the packets.
I often give my dog a scoop of dry food in the morning that she is able to pick at throughout the day and a wet food at night time if she is hungry. I read both the wet and dry food packages to see what Baker's recommend a dog of my size to be fed.
When opening the dry food the biscuits were tiny, which is great for my small dog as she can be very fussy and will often spit biscuits out that she feels are too big for her. Within the biscuits, there are also meat chunks that Tia really seems to enjoy, she will often root through the food and eat these chunks first! The wet pouches come in a decently sized box that is great for storage and keeping the food together. Each pouch is coloured, depending on the flavour so it is easy to pick out the one you want. Each pouch contains a good size meal for my dog and seems to have a good mixture of both meat and vegetables. The meat within the pouches looks fresher than most other food we've tried which look like processed chunks of meat. I feel like this is also shown by the smell, as they smell meaty and quite pleasant. This helps to get my dog really excited when she can smell the pouch being opened.
My dog really does seem to enjoy the new Bakers food, so I decided to put it to the test. I opened both a new Bakers food and one of her old foods to see what one she would pick. Tia quickly and happily picked the Bakers food and woofed the whole bowl down. This made me so happy because I always want the best for my dog, and to see her enjoying her food is great to see.
The box also provided a play mat and a packet of treats, of which we received the bacon and cheese treats. I love playing games with Tia when she is given treats to help her learn and keep her entertained, so it was nice that a play mat was included. The game included was to have 3 cup and hid a part of the treat underneath and move the cups around. The dog is then able to sniff and pick a cup to see if they will be rewarded with a treat. Tia really enjoyed the treats and the strong smell helped her pick out the right cup and she was rewarded with the treat.
Over the past few weeks I have seen my dog really become excited when it gets to dinner time as she is excited to eat the food. She also seems to have plenty of energy and wants to play often. I am happy to see my dog getting the most out of life and eager to try new things. When I am giving the food to my dog I do feel that it is good quality and there is a good amount in each pouch. As my dog has enjoyed it so much I am going to continue with this food.
