The Insiders - Perrier & Juice

Recently I have received a parcel from The Insiders campaign for Perrier & Juice. This campaign was created to allow 2,500 Insiders test out three flavours of Perrier & Juice.

The campaign package includes:

  1. 1x Perrier® & Juice campaign guide

  2. 1x summery sunglasses to help you bring the summer back to winter

  3. 2x 4 pack Perrier® & Juice (25cl): Peach and Cherry

  4. 2x 4 pack Perrier® & Juice (25cl): Strawberry and Kiwi

  5. 2x 4 pack Perrier® & Juice (25cl): Pineapple and Mango

The box included plenty of drinks to be able to try them yourself but also shear them with friends or family around you and also get there opinion on how the drinks tasted.

Within the campaign box you are given a pair of pineapple sunglasses, these were a very fun way to spread the word about Perrier & Juice and get the kids involved. they also allowed for some funny pictures.

Each of the drinks are advertised as low in calories as each can has less than 50 calories, so these could be a good alternative drink. the company also sent a breakdown of what the drink is made up of, this allows the buyer to see what is actually going into the drink. They state "Perrier & Juice is made up of 77% Perrier® sparkling natural mineral water, 17% fruit juice, a dash of natural flavours and of course a splash of extraordinaire." this is also shown in the image provided below.

The three different flavours with in the box allowed each customer a good variety to try. Personally I was excited to try the Peach and Cherry most as I am not keen on Pineapple flavours.

When first opening the can you can hear the carbonation and it sounds the same as opening a can of coca cola. I was worried about the fuzziness of the drink as it is mostly made up of mineral water I thought it may have become flat during shipping. however to my surprise, they drinks were still full of carbonation.

Next I wanted to try all 3 of the flavours to see how strong they were and what the taste was like from each can. When trying these I quickly released they are not a drink I would normally go for if buying something from a store, they reminded me of la croix as that is also a sparkling water drink.

each of the flavour can be tasted however it was not as distinctive as I normally liked, my partner also has the same opinion as me at first. however, after some time and a few drinks later my partner really began to enjoy the flavour of each of the drinks.

Even though this kind of drink wasn't something I normally go for it was nice to see that there were drinks out there that were being made for lower calories, so I wanted to give them a fair shot. After time I began to get used to the taste and mineral water within each drink. I was least excited for the pineapple and mango flavour as i'm not a fan f pineapple, however because the flavour was not overpowering they easy to drink. I really began to enjoy the Peach and cherry and they quickly became my favorite drink out of the three.

During this campaign I also found that I enjoyed the drinks more once they had been in the fridge for sometime, once they were cold it was a refreshing alternative to have on a warm summer day.

As my partner really enjoyed the flavour he also wanted to try how they would taste when mixed with alcohol. when mixed with vodka they were also refreshing as it gave a flavour and fix to the alcohol. so this could also be a good alternative for a summers day.

Overall, I don't think I will be buying these drinks again in the future as it is not something that I fully enjoyed. however, this is personal preference as my partner did enjoy them.I believe they are a great alternative if you are looking for a lower calories drink if you also enjoy carbonated drinks. If you would like to try this drink they can be bought from many supermarkets and normally cost around £2.50 for 4 cans, this is a great way to try them for yourself.
